I love working on commissions that represent something meaningful and personal to someone, so they can treasure their favourite places, views or landscapes and have a permanent reminder of their special memories.
I am available to undertake commissions and run workshops for a range of ages. Throughout my teaching career I have taught from ages 10 to 18 and have run workshops for adults. Techniques taught include, embroidery (free motion or hand), fabric manipulation, applique, collage, felt making, batik, painting, lino printing and mixed media embroidery.

To be held at my small studio at my home in Berrynarbor, near Ilfracombe. Due to size of venue, numbers will be restricted to no more than three. I can also offer accommodation for two as I run an Airbnb room. Why not combine the course with a trip to the sea.

Expressive Mark Making for Embroidery Exploring with a monoprint or mark making (your choice) you will explore pattern and texture on fabric that can then be worked upon at home. Half day 10-1pm or 1.30-4pm £60pp
Free Motion Embroidery and Embellishing for beginners. Botanical drawing, appliqué embellishing and embridery 1/2 (3 hours) £60pp or full day (6 hours) £95pp. (1-1 £70pp & £110pp)
Mixed Media Embroidery – Landscape and nature. Appliqué, embellishing and embroidery. Playing with what I do best. Full day (6 hours £95 or £110 for 1-1)
Portraits Applique and hand stitching. This will take more than a day to complete the project but I will cover all stages so that you can independently work on it. Please send me an A4 (ish) portrait or bring one along, or use on of mine. Full Day 10-4pm £70pp
